Basic Functionalities
Westernacher's Alfresco / Outlook integration allows easy access to all essential Alfresco functionalities in the Outlook 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010 interface:
- Directory listings based on user rights
- Standard Alfresco functionalities available through context menus (Check-In, Check-Out, Copy, Move, Delete, etc.)
- Open and edit documents via WebDAV directly from the directory listing
- Store e-mails and/or attachments in the Alfresco Repository per drag & drop
- Attach documents (link or document attachment) from the Alfresco repository to e-mails per drag & drop
- Configurable search functions by metadata or in full-text mode
E-mail Archiving
Because of its flexible architecture and special functionalities, Westernacher's Alfresco / Outlook integration is perfectly suited for rule-based e-mail archiving:
- Store e-mails and/or attachments in the Alfresco repository
- Enter metadata during archiving
- Replace original e-mail messages on Exchange server with link to respective archived e-mail in the Alfresco repository (stubbing)
- Use all original Outlook rules for automated e-mail archiving
- Customized e-mail display in Alfresco SHARE document library
- Mail filter provisioning (today, yesterday, last week) in Alfresco SHARE
