Enterprise Java Architect & Project Lead

Job description:

• You will drive the implementation of large Java enterprise web applications with a strong focus on Enterprise Content Management (ECM). You will use your solid architecture, project management and software development skills to architect and design large-scale ECM solutions for enterprise customers.
• You will lead a team of developers in all stages of the project: requirements analysis, design, planning, development, testing, deployment and maintenance. You make sure the team applies best practices in software development and continuous delivery throughout the project.
• You report to the customer regularly and you assess project quality and requirements compliance to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:

• Min. 7 years of experience in Java development and architecture design
• Very strong knowledge of web applications, web technologies and application servers
• Outstanding experience with Open Source Java libraries, e.g. Apache ASF, Codehaus, Spring, Eclipse, …
• Fluent HTML 4 & 5 and CSS
• Deep understanding of Javascript and Javascript frameworks like ExtJS, jQuery etc.
• Solid understanding of server systems and network components (routers, switches, load balancers, clustering, RAID)
• Experience with build management and automated software testing: continuous integration, continuous delivery, unit testing, load testing, UI testing
• Strong experience in writing use cases, designing wireframes, writing specifications and project plans

• Min. 3 years of experience in project management
• Min. 3 years of experience coordinating and guiding teams of software developers
• Fluent German and English, both oral and written
• Open minded team spirit, able to work in both small local and large international teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Enterprise Content Management products (preferable Alfresco ECM server)
• Knowledge of information architecture design
• Experience with Information Lifecycle Management and archiving
• Experience with enterprise search technologies (Apache Lucene, Solr, Sharepoint Search, FAST, Autonomy, …)
• Experience in document capture (Kofax, scanning, …)
