WLS - Functions

Integrated client management:

The WLS™ Manager component supports booking of material movements of goods from disparate owners in individual accounting areas. The WLS™ Information System (that generates reports, dialogs, statistics, and records) is also designed on this principle, making it possible to manage stocks in total logical independence from each other, even though the stocks themselves may be stored together in the individual storage and order-picking areas.

Requirement-specific customization:

WLS™ makes it possible to manage goods in manual and fully automated warehouse complexes of any conceivable structure. The goods can be classified into various stock types (freely disposable, blocked and reserved stocks, consignments, customs, etc.)

WLS™ allows for homogeneous storage as well as the management of pallets, containers, etc. stocked with heterogeneous goods in fixed storage places or in chaotic storage. The most common goods placement or removal strategies have been pre-defined. If necessary, any possible structure type can be selected for management of goods in storage units and in storage places or order-picking areas.

International user interface:

WLS™ was designed for international use. Language adaptations for all user interfaces (dialogs, lists, receipts) can be implemented through simple, table-monitored adjustments. At present WLS™ will be delivered with English, German, Spanish, French and Hungarian user interfaces.

Robust middleware for full integration:

SAP BC is used as the basic platform for WLS™, as well as for development and as the runtime platform. This SAP bus connector acts as a solid middleware, seamlessly integrating differing IT architectures and system components with SAP, such as:

• Operating system
• Database
• Communications
• Development environment

This middleware offers a range of outstanding attributes and incorporated functions that far exceed other manufacturers’ development platforms.
