Different languages in mySAP ERP HCM Organization Management

When operating in an international context, the language-dependent texts in mySAP ERP HCM Organization Management must be presented in all relevant designated target languages.

However, in a part of the ongoing transactions only the text of the logged-on language can be processed; for example, the creation of a German-language text after a log-on in English would be problematic.

Texts of OM-Infotype 1000 and 1002 in a missing language or the wrong language can lead to confusion in the display of the organizational structure, und must be laboriously corrected or even completely redone. Of course, it would be huge advantage if the direct support of maintaining relevant languages could be carried out directly in the transactions involving the maintenance of the organizational structure – independent of the actual log-in language used.

The Westernacher OM International Toolset …

• is a comfortable enhancement of the mySAP ERP HCM management transactions for the simultaneous presentation and management of texts in organization management (IT 1000/1002) of all relevant, designated languages
• prevents the generation of incompletely maintained language-dependent texts, by checking for their completeness during the standard maintenance transaction stage
• offers an easy-to-use tool that checks, enhances and corrects existing language-dependent texts, and also includes a ready copier function
• makes the introduction of additional languages into organization management much easiersignificantly simplifies the removal/correction of consistencies that appear over time.

The number of relevant languages for the language-dependent texts in organization management is set during customizing for the client and is available in expanded standard transactions – simultaneously and independently of the actual log-in language.

Two additional crystal tabs can be superimposed: the IT 1000 can be maintained in parallel in all relevant languages.

Moreover, the completeness of texts in all relevant languages can be checked. During customizing, the client can choose whether incorrect or incomplete texts will trigger a warning report, or whether the checking process should be switched off altogether.

Expanded correction and checking program

The number of indicated languages is presented, but can be overridden. The copying and processing of data can be carried out directly in ALV: IT 1002 is supported.
